1. Day: Ljubljana

In the morning arrival to the airport, drive to Slovenian capital city - Ljubljana. On a short bus tour through the city enjoy the architectural and cultural heritage of Ljubljana with only Orthodox Church, National and Modern Gallery, formal residence of Marshal Radetzky, National Museum and square of Republic (place to celebrate Slovenian Independence) with House of Parliament. Start your guided walking tour at the University building, visit place of Slovenian “Romeo and Juliet” and “Naked Muse” a big thorn in flesh for Slovenian Church in 19th century, the biggest hotel in Austro-Hungarian Empire etc. Visit colorful and lively Main Market, look for local products like “potica” (walnut cake), have a break to taste it. Walk to see the present for Emperor Franz Josef, palace where Napoleon and Russian Czar Alexander I were staying over night etc. Visit old part of the city with Town Hall, Cathedral and formal Jewish part of the city. Have a lunch in one of the restaurants with some typical Slovenian dishes and one of the best Slovenian deserts. In the afternoon take a boat tour on river Ljubljanica, enjoy drive under famous Ljubljana Triple Bridge, Cobbler’s and Dragon Bridge. Discover the city from different perspective. Take a tourist train to the Ljubljana hill and visit Ljubljana castle with fantastic view from the top of the tower. Descend by furnicular and walk towards Tivoli Park, green part of the city and visit one of the museum or galleries on the way. Stay overnight in Ljubljana.

2. Day: Ljubljana – Radovljica - Bled

In the morning drive to medieval old part of the city Radovljica, birthplace of first Slovenian playwright. The medieval square was mainly renovated in 17th-18th century and belongs to one of the best preserved old city squares in Slovenia. Radovoljica is famous for its beekeeping tradition and the first known beekeeper in the world was Slovenian Anton Janša. Visit the Apiculture museum to learn more about famous Carniola bees, extremely important part of Slovenian tradition. Take a walk to one of the restaurants in vicinity to see more 240 years old traditional production of honey-bread and have a delicious lunch with Slovenian dishes. After lunch drive to Lake Bled, Slovenian pearl or as the most important Slovenian poet Prešeren said: Heaven on Earth. Drive with boats “Pletna” to the only natural lake island in Slovenia to ring the wishing bell for your future. After visit a short stop in cake shop to try the most famous and delicious cake in Bled. In the evening drive to Bled castle with most outstanding view on Bled, lake and mountains. Enjoy medieval performance of count and his stuff. Observing medieval dances it is easy to imagine life so many centuries ago. Enjoy dinner at famous castle restaurant with excellent choice of dishes and Slovenian wine. Stay overnight in Bled.

3. Day: Bled – Bohinj - Bled

The trip of the day goes to the biggest lake in Slovenia. Drive in the morning to the extraordinary valley of Lake Bohinj, enjoy the beauty of lake and surrounding Alpine picks from the boat, take a cable car to the winter resort of Vogel to see spectacular view on Lake Bohinj and Alps with the highest mountain of Triglav. Enjoy a simple lunch at mountain hut and in the afternoon return to the valley Bohinj. For centuries Bohinj was the most important centre of alpine dairy farming in Slovenia. Here lies the greatest number of alpine meadows close together, the highest ones reaching just below the summit of the Triglav. Visit a Alpine Dairy Farming Museum and enjoy tasting of home made cheese. Drive back to Lake Bled to join the golf players for a special dinner performance. Drive to Begunje to see museum of the most famous folk music group Avsenik, to have a dinner, to see Slovenian traditional dances and listen to the followers of Avsenik.

4. Day: Bled – Pocar – Peričnik – Planica – Tamar - Kranjska gora

In the morning drive to the only Slovenian National Park. The park was named after Triglav, the highest mountain in the heart of the park, which is also the highest summit in Slovenia (2864 m). The park covers 880 square kilometres, or 3% of the territory of Slovenia and it is among the earliest European parks, because the first protection dates back to 1924. Visit Pocar Homestead with mostly wooden buildings covered by shingles or boards. It is the oldest dated house in Triglav National Park. Documents confirm its existence since at least 1609. In the renovated homestead there is a museum, in the outbuilding there is one of the information points of the park. Museum experts catalogued almost 1,400 objects. Continue your way in Upper Sava Valley to visit one of the most beautiful waterfall in Slovenia. You will need 15 minutes to reach waterfall Peričnik, then take a walk behind the waterfall to imagine the power of its water. Drive to ski-jumping sport center Planica. Ski-jumping together with skiing belongs to Slovenian national sports. First skies in the world were made in Slovenia and some of the longest jumps were recorded in Planica. Take time for one hour walk to Tamar Valley surrounded with amazing Alpine peaks. In the evening return to Kranjska gora. Dinner and stay overnight.

5. Day: Kranjska gora - Bovec

After breakfast drive to mountain pass Vršič, have a short break to see extraordinary female face on the mountain wall. Visit Soča valley favored even by our distant ancestors, who were the first to establish themselves as guides and find their way up to the highest peaks of Slovenia. Admire for many the most beautiful river in Europe- River Soča, that lies under the protective watch of peaks soaring 2000 meters and it carves out the narrowest of gorges in the living rock. Not many regions can offer the variety of sports activities like Bovec area can, so we will stop for some ultimate adventure. Join rafting team, experience the beauty of River Soča and have unforgettable trip through majestic nature of Soča valley. After rafting have a break for lunch. Take a free afternoon for exploring Slovenian mountains or taking part in another sport activity.

6. Day: Bovec - Nova Gorica

After breakfast drive to Kobarid. Visit a Museum of the World War I awarded for 3 times as the best museum in Europe. Valley of Soča was place of the biggest battles in World War I., more then 1 million people were victims on the both sides and this is also a path of famous American writer Ernest Hemingway, who described Soča battle in “A Farewell to Arms”. Visit the marvelous gorge of Tolmin, walk to the Devil Bridge 60 meters above River Tolminka for an excellent view. In the late afternoon drive to Solkan. Solkan Bridge has 85 meters main arch span which makes it the largest stone arch railway bridge in the world. The bridge was built in 1905 and the traffic of the second railway connection between Vienna and port of Trieste began to run back in 1906. After dinner visit a heart of Nova Gorica famous for Casino and gambling.

7. Day: Nova Gorica – Vipava – Štanjel – Lipica - Portorož

After breakfast drive to Vipava valley, visit a local community for presentation of the region and wine tasting. Drive to one of the best preserved traditional village Goče, a monument of Slovenian cultural heritage. Goče was first mentioned already in the 14th century. Take a sightseeing tour to fully appreciate small, peaceful and friendly village. The important symbols of the village which are closely connected with its prosperity are grapevines, wine, and wine cellars. Join the walking in the surrounding and ascend the nearby hill Obelunec with the church of the Mary of the Snow (Marija Snežna) from where one can enjoy excellent view on Karst and Vipava region and notice that the buildings of Goce are located on two main streets which cross in the shape of Andrew's cross. Stop at one of the traditional farms to try local food and drinks (including sparkling wine). Later drive to Karst region famous for strong wind bora, special liquor, smoked ham and Lipica horses. Learn more about smoked ham production in one of the local »smoked ham factories«, try local drink made of best Karst red wine and taste special made smoked ham. Visit traditional village of Štanjel – the real jewel of the Karst region. The Romans turned the top of the hill into an ancient fort. While walking through the narrow streets, the houses built in stone are telling you the story of stonemasons. In the afternoon enjoy the beauty of stud farm Lipica, Slovenian national pride with elegant pure white horses.

8. Day: Portorož – Postojna – Predjama - Ljubljana

After breakfast drive to saltpans of Sečovlje Salina Nature Park. The symbiosis between man and nature is marked with centuries-old tradition of salt-making. From the middle ages till today it has created a unique “salina” landscape. Here salt is still produced traditionally, with classical salt-pan methods and tools, which is the reason why salt has retained its very special taste and exceptional characteristics. Enjoy the sightseeing tour before boarding a tourist boat to Piran. Pleasant drive along Slovenian coast will be appreciated substitute for a bus. After one hour of drive we arrive to Piran city center, to have lunch with excellent local sea dishes. Take a walk to the medieval wall of Piran, to see the most beautiful coastal city of Slovenia and its magical position on the peninsula. In the afternoon drive to Postojna to visit one of the biggest cave systems in the world. One of the elements that make caves so attractive to visitors is the cave formations like stalagmites, stalactites, flowstones, etc. resulting from deposits of calcium carbonate. They can be pure white, brownish-red or grey and that adds to the beauty of the cave. Among first visitors were many emperors and famous people who were amazed by natural phenomena. Just 10 kilometres from Postojna Cave stands one of the most picturesque wonders of human history: Predjama Castle. For more than 700 years it has perched proudly on its 123-metre cliff. A view of the renovated castle rooms and their furnishings gives the visitor an idea of how people once lived and worked in the castle. Stay overnight in Ljubljana.

9. Day: Ljubljana – Krka - Novo Mesto - Mokrice

Drive to South-East Slovenia to explore the beauty of river Krka and its main city Novo Mesto. Rafting work in Novo Mesto was the most important economic branch in the 19th and the 20th centuries. Embark on raft and rafting on Krka River around the city. Enjoy performance by traditional characters, rafting under four bridges, taste special local wine and simple but delicious local dish. By raft we will approach the old part of the city to have a sightseeing tour before we continue our way. Short stop at the only Slovenian castle on the river island - castle Otočec, first mentioned in 13th century. The castle surrounded by splendid nature houses a 5- star hotel and restaurant and gives an opportunity for a short walk in a park. Drive to our hotel, situated in another fabulous Slovenian castle. At the foot of Gorjanci hills, hidden in the solitude of an English park, is situated the Mokrice Castle, a luxurious hotel for guests that require the highest standards. Enjoy excellent choice of dishes and wines at the Mokrice restaurant. Stay overnight.

10. Day: Terme Čatež

Take a free day to fully explore one of the thermal resorts of Slovenia. East side of the country is famous for many sources of mineral and thermal water, for fabulous spas and wellness centers. 11. Day: Mokrice – Brežice – Bizeljsko - Brnik

After lunch at the castle Mokrice drive to nearby Renaissance Brežice castle with Posavje Museum. The museum’s collections encompass movable heritage from prehistoric to modern times, and paintings, but the most outstanding is The Great Hall, which is the largest interior with Baroque murals in Central Europe. The long sides are decorated with painted scenes of historical architecture, the short sides with landscapes, and the area between the walls and the ceiling with mythological scenes. On the ceiling, the painter depicted the sciences and arts. Visit a famous wine producer who in the past four decades managed to start first private sparkling wine production in Slovenia. In the last years, their sparkling wines have won 8 champion titles, 53 gold and double gold medals, and 35 silver medals. Their most precious awards are Prix d’Exellence in Paris, Gold medal in Verona and a double champion title in 2005 in Ljubljana and Gornja Radgona. After tour of the cellar enjoy sparkling wine tasting. Late in the afternoon transfer back to the airport.
